.caramelized pear pizza.

i love it when the lack of a plan comes together. let me walk you through what i threw together to create a new personal masterpiece.

sauté pears for a few minutes and then throw them in the oven at 375 to roast. roasting the pears brings out their pearness.

chop up brie or slice or shred or crumble. brie melts really beautifully and so it doesn't need to be shredded to cover a decent surface area.

your crust can be just about anything pizza-like. i found these fun thin and crispy crusts that came in a pack of three.

top the pizza with the ooey gooey roasted pears.

add the brie, some walnuts for that salty, savory crunch. now pop it in the oven and cook according to your crust directions and by keeping an eye on your level of cheese meltiness.

here's my first homemade balsamic glaze and i was tickled to be able to drizzle it on these little pizzas. i love how it creeped out of the jar like molasses. if you can get your hands on some or make it yourself, add it to your pizza too. i think it is what ties everything together.

cooked, then drizzled and now what?

fresh arugula!  pile it high and be amazed at how all of these ingredients together create the perfect bite.
